About Me! Who Am I?

Hi I’m Jennifer. I am a certified nurse-midwife, a former doula and former childbirth educator. When disability took me out of clinical practice in 2018, the first thing I noticed was that I was suffering from PTSD and burnout that I hadn’t even had time to notice while I was in the trenches. With my return to clinical practice in doubt, I became certified in a few new skills, including helping people process distressing birth memories. Watching from the sidelines in 2020, I was gutted for my friends and colleagues, knowing that the traumatic experiences I had had in practice were certainly overshadowed by the challenges they were facing. I read about people leaving the work in droves - the work that was their passion, that was so important to them and was so needed in the world. And I vowed to do something about it - and the Burnout to Bliss Solution for Birthworkers was “born”!
